This Privacy Policy explains how Four17 (“Four17”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit four17.in or contact us. We are a digital agency based in India that builds websites, software, AI solutions and brand identities.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send an inquiry through the “Start a project” form, we collect your first and last name, company name (optional), email address, phone number, the type of work you need and your message (optional). If you email or call us, we receive the details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. With each inquiry we record the page it was sent from, your browser’s user-agent string and a one-way hashed version of your IP address. The hash lets us limit repeated submissions and block spam without storing your actual IP address. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, date and time, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
What we don’t collect. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not set cookies for visitors who are not logged in to the website’s admin area.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss, quote for and deliver the services you ask about.
- To manage our relationship with you if you become a client.
- To keep the website secure and protect it against spam and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your information with your consent, which you give by submitting the form or contacting us, and where it is necessary to respond to your request or perform a contract with you. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).
4. Who we share it with
Your information is shared only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as far as needed:
- Website hosting: Hostinger, which hosts the website and its database.
- Email: Zoho Mail and Hostinger’s mail service, which deliver inquiry notifications and our replies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
5. How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting project, and for up to three years after our last contact unless a longer period is required by law. Client project records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your inquiry sooner.
6. How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS, access to inquiry records is limited to authorised Four17 staff, and IP addresses submitted with inquiries are stored only as one-way hashes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent.

8. Links to other websites
Our website links to our social media profiles and to websites we have built for clients. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
9. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
